US based Goals for Girls (G4G) and Nagpur’s Slum Soccer (SS), spent 2 days at the charity's shelter for abandoned women, learning about the plight of Indian women with mental health issues, cancer, leprosy and HIV.
The 50 students decorated our premises with beautiful painting tribal “Warli” designs which they painted on the walls. And what an amazing job they did!
Later in the evening G4G and SS provide dancing and entertainment to the residents of Dattapur leprosy colony and WIN’s homeless women, most of whom are recovering from mental health problems caused by abuse and neglect.
.
The evening continued with dinner, music, dancing and fireworks and concluded with Chinese lanterns being released into the night air.
Next morning the girls attended a yoga class followed by breakfast.. We were thrilled that many of them purchased cushion covers and bags made by some of the women WIN supports.
A big thank you t0 @goalsforgirls @Goals_for_Girls for paying for all the paint, food and entertainment.
